We're excited to pair Ember with Stoney, a dog we've had the privilege of working with and training firsthand. Stoney is fast, driven, talented, and highly capable, with the kind of working temperament we value. He has also produced impressive puppies, giving us added confidence in what he may contribute to this pairing.
Ember is a speed queen in her own right—powerful, intense, athletic, and eager to work, while still maintaining the level head and trainability needed to channel that drive productively. She recently completed her final OFA clearances.

Two fast, intensely driven parents means this litter will have fire. We expect puppies with exceptional athleticism, an explosive retrieve, and a relentless desire to work — built for hunters who want a dog that gives everything on every mark. Coral represents nearly a decade of thoughtful breeding at FBGR, and she embodies so much of what we have worked toward: sound temperament, athletic energy, natural drive, intelligence, and a strong desire to work with her people. After evaluating dozens of impressive stud options, Rusty stood out.
Rusty qualified for the Master National in both 2025 and 2026 — the highest-level retriever field competition in the country. He brings an elite working pedigree, proven offspring, and the kind of easy, biddable temperament you actually want to spend a weekend with.

This cross is bred to compete. Coral and Rusty bring proven Master-level genetics together with the kind of trainability and focus needed to run hunt tests, and still have the warmth and people-connection that makes a great family dog. The potential of this litter has us genuinely excited. Miley and Ticket complement one another beautifully, and we expect a strong balance of athletic structure, temperament, drive, desire, color, and biddability.
Miley has earned her Junior Hunter title (JH) and brings tremendous speed, confidence, birdiness, and enthusiasm to the pairing. Ticket, a Senior Hunter (SH), adds proven working ability, trainability, sound temperament, and classic Golden Retriever structure. Together, they balance intensity with control.

Balanced, Versatile Goldens
Where Miley's intensity meets Ticket's steadiness, we get balance. These puppies should have the drive to hunt hard and the off-switch to be wonderful family dogs — biddable, bright, and deeply connected to their people. An excellent fit for active families who want a true all-around dog, whether that's upland hunting, waterfowl, or just keeping up with kids.
Covey × Ticket — Fall 2026 or Early 2027

Covey and Ticket remain a pairing we are especially excited about. Both have completed the GRCA-recommended health clearances, along with the relevant genetic testing.
Covey is explosive and hard-charging — fast, intensely driven, and always ready to work. Ticket brings a more measured, proven working style with excellent biddability and sound temperament. The combination of Covey's raw power and Ticket's proven ability has us anticipating something special.

These puppies should carry Covey's signature darker-red coloring and explosive athleticism, tempered by Ticket's steady, proven working style. Expect bold, confident retrievers with serious field ability — the kind of dog that turns heads in the blind and performs on the biggest marks.
Sunny × Boss — Spring 2027

This will be the fourth and final breeding of Sunny and Boss — a proven pairing that represents so much of what we strive to produce at FBGR. Coral and Indy both come from this pairing, and the puppies from each subsequent litter have continued to impress us with their consistency.
Sunny × Boss puppies have grown into athletic, intelligent, highly trainable Goldens that fit beautifully into active family homes. The proof really is in their previous litters. We don't take this one lightly — it's a final chapter of a pairing that has genuinely shaped our program.
