Sunny is a beautiful dark red field-bred Golden that we produced here at FBGR. She is the daughter of Birdie X Trip and displays the type and substance we strive for. She is a good-natured dog with a reliable off switch, yet she runs exceptionally hard on marks and shows a fierce birdiness both in the upland field and when hunting waterfowl.

It has been rewarding to watch her training and genetics come together. She went 4/4 on her Junior Hunt Test work in the spring of 2021 and 5/6 while earning her Senior Hunter title in 2022. She is a perfect example of the dogs we aim to produce at FBGR: biddable and responsive, but not soft when faced with pressure or challenging temperament situations. She works through pressure and consistently comes out on top, always eager to work for you.

Sunny is very intelligent and gentle — she truly has no mean bone in her body, as a good Golden should. She has been an absolute blast to hunt with in both waterfowl and upland seasons over the last few years. Sunny passed all of her health clearances, and we are excited to carry forward her exceptional genetics in upcoming litters here at FBGR.
