About Boss.

Boss is the kind of dog we are proud to build a program around—powerful, talented, highly trainable, and an absolute gentleman to live and work with.

He progressed quickly through his Senior Hunter title (SH) and earned his Master Hunter title (MH) in the spring of 2025. Boss is a hard-charging retriever with excellent marking ability, strong natural desire, and the confidence to take on demanding work. At the same time, he maintains a level head, handles training pressure well, and consistently shows the biddability and composure we value in a finished hunting dog.

Beyond his ability in the field, Boss has an exceptional temperament. He is steady, affectionate, and easy to enjoy at home—the kind of versatile field-bred Golden Retriever that can work hard when asked and then settle comfortably into family life.

Boss produced his first puppies in 2024, and we have since had the opportunity to work with several of his offspring in training. They are already showing exciting promise, with strong natural ability, intelligence, confidence, and a willingness to work with their handlers.

His pedigree is equally impressive, with Field Champions, Master Hunters, and accomplished working dogs throughout every branch of his immediate ancestry. Boss has also completed the GRCA-recommended health clearances and relevant genetic testing required for our breeding program.

We are excited about the future Boss has ahead of him and the qualities he can continue to contribute to the next generation.
